Television's popular face 'Lambu' Nagesh no more
- Nagesh was suffering from liver related disease
- He was being treated at the MS Ramaiah Hospital for the past five days
- Apart from television, he has acted in over 100 movies
Theatre artiste and television actor 'Lambu' Nagesh passed away after a prolonged illness at MS Ramaiah Hospital here on Friday. Nagesh who was fondly called as 'Nagesh' had been admitted to the hospital for liver related ailments and was being treated for the past five days.
Nagesh had worked with veteran theatre artiste B Jayashree and has acted in many significant plays. Later, he moved on to small screen, where his roles - mostly in negative shades - had earned him immense popularity. His recent outing in much acclaimed 'Ashwini Nakshtra' had received critical appreciation. He debuted in movies with 'Prithviraj' in 1992 and went on to act in at least 100 movies - like 'Huliya', 'Police Story 2' - as a supporting actor and a villain.
The family has allowed the fans to pay tribute to the deceased actor at his residence in Hanumanth Nagar and the last rites will be held at Banashankari, it is reported.
