Selfie craze kills 21-year-old college student in Karnataka

A 21-year-old man slipped and fell into a falls and died as he was trying to take selfie standing on a slippery rock.
Naveen Kumar, a Final year BCom student of Doddaballapur Government College died in a fatal selfie try near Channagiri Falls at Chikkaballapur in Karnataka.
Naveen had come to visit the Channagiri falls with his friends. He stood on a rock, where algae had developed. The moment he stood on the rock and got ready to click the selfie, he slipped and fell inside the falls and breathed his last.
A case in this regard has been booked by the Nandi Police Station in Chikkaballapur. This is the fifth selfie death in Karnataka in three different incidents within a month.
