West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose has been accused of sexual harassment by an employee at the Raj Bhavan. The Governor barred the Raj Bhavan staff members from ignoring communication from the Kolkata police on Sunday. 

Sandeshkhali has been witnessing protests over allegations of land grab and sexual atrocities by Sheikh and his supporters. While some associates of Sheikh have been arrested, he has been on the run since January 5.

As a symbolic gesture, Raj Bhavan announced plans to establish a Punjabi Bagh within its estate, further underscoring the commitment to honoring and celebrating the contributions of the Punjabi community. 

Besides Bhangore, violence had marred the nomination filing process on Thursday in several other districts in clashes between political parties. In all five people died as a result of the violence.
