WhatsApp, the Facebook-owned instant messaging tool, was recently rumoured to be integrating responses to messages. Recently, a new report has clarified how message reactions would appear and function on WhatsApp. WhatsApp's upcoming message replies feature will allow users to react to messages using emoticons, akin to Apple's iMessage, Twitter, and Facebook's own Instagram and Messenger.

According to an image posted by WABetaInfo, message reactions will appear just below the text message and will be available for solo and group conversations. Participants in a group chat will be able to see who responded to a certain message.

According to the article, users will use whatever emoji they choose, similar to the functionality available on Facebook Messenger. Details on when the functionality will be available to all users are unknown, but the screenshot implies that it may not belong.

The screenshot supplied by WABetaInfo appears to be from the iPhone app. In a subsequent update, WABetaInfo stated that users might respond to a message several times with various emojis. The process of sending a reply is end-to-end encrypted, so nobody outside the chat can see your reactions.

In addition, WhatsApp has released a new sticker set to honour the fifth season of Netflix's Money Heist. The collection contains 17 stickers commemorating the premiere of Season 5 of the famous Netflix programme.
