In a statement, US FDA said that even though the adverse effects seem very rare, it is reviewing the data along with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday ordered strict restrictions in the state from April 14 till May 1 to break the chain of the second wave of coronavirus.

The Union Health Ministry clarified that the first 100 beneficiaries of such foreign vaccines should be assessed for seven days for safety outcomes before it is rolled out for further immunisation programme within the country.

According to Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund that enables direct investment in the Russian economy, said that India will be the main production hub for the Sputnik vaccine and that the company is looking to ramp up production to 850 million doses a year using over five domestic partners.

 Dr Reddy's Laboratories, the Hyderabad-based pharmaceutical company, last week sought the government's approval for the vaccine to be used in India.

 Class 12th exams will be held by end of May, while 10th standard exams will be in June. The state government would write to the ICSE, ISC, CBSE, IB and Cambridge boards to reconsider their dates for class 10th and 12th examinations, the School Education Minister said.

 Delhi CM Kejriwal ordered several government and private hospitals to be completely converted into Covid facilities once again.

"People now think that they are at God's mercy," a division bench of Chief Justice Vikram Nath and Justice Bhargav Karia said.  

He insisted that people should wear face masks, use hand sanitisers and maintain social distancing. “People need to respond for their own good. If they don’t cooperate then we will initiate stringent measures, which people should not give scope for. I want people to cooperate with us,” Yediyurappa said.
