In response to Pakistan mentioning Kashmir during a UN Security Council meeting discussing the Israel-Gaza situation, India has announced its decision to disregard this reference, deeming it unworthy of a response.
Addressing the matter, Ravindra, an Indian representative at the meeting said, "Before I end, there was a remark of habitual nature by one delegation referring to Union Territories that are integral and inalienable parts of my country." He went on to express his intention to treat such remarks with the contempt they deserve and refrain from responding to them in the interest of time.
During the Security Council meeting, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken emphasized the illegitimacy of all acts of terrorism, regardless of their perpetrators, such as Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba or Hamas. Blinken emphasized that these acts are considered unlawful and unjustifiable, regardless of the locations they target, including Mumbai and Kibbutz Beeri.
Furthermore, Blinken urged the Security Council to denounce member states that support, finance, or train Hamas or any other terrorist group responsible for such horrific acts. His remarks alluded to the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, which were carried out by the Pakistan-based terrorist organization, Lashkar-e-Taiba.
