Cardiff (Wales): In almost one-and-half hours a police dog found a missing elderly couple with dementia. The canine sniffed a piece of bedding and tracked them down in a ditch.
Police began a search operation in the Haverfordwest area of Pembrokeshire in Wales but couldn't find the couple. But the dog Rey quickly found a piece of bedding and was able to track the scent into a field.
The couple went missing at 11pm on July 16. At around 12.30 am, they spotted the couple in a ditch, where the woman had fallen and hurt her back.
According to the report, the inspector involved in the case said the couple had not been seen for over two hours and the search party was searching the area in almost darkness. He said the swift work of Rey made it possible for the team to search in the right direction.
