Former Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya targeted Mamata Banerjee in an audio message highlighting the deplorable state of the state's industry, health and agriculture.
Saugata Roy also said, “Buddhadeb babu is old. He is confined to a room alone at home. The people of Bengal have not had much contact with him for the last 10 years. He listens to what the party comrades say. He had never heard of Kanyashree, Swasthyasathi, Sabuj Sathi before.”

“How can we forget that there was another Buddhadeb Bhattacharya behind the playwright Buddha Bhattacharya. The shooting took place in Nandigram under the leadership of that Buddha Babu,” he added.
On the other hand, Saugat also taunted Amit Shah on the same day and said, “Amit Shah and the BJP are talking about the incident in Nandigram day and night. But forgetting about Hathras incident? We tolerated the Adhikari family. If you are in the team, you have to accept such issues. But after they leave, there is no point in holding them down. No matter how many times Modi and Amit Shah come to Bengal, we will form a government on May 2.”
