A delegation of the TMC alleged on Thursday (March 11) that the Election Commission did nothing despite there being reports of a possible attack on Mamata Banerjee.

The TMC leaders alleged that anti-social elements have been mobilised from the neighbouring states by the BJP in Nandigram to create violence.

TMC leader Partha Chatterjee said, “We met the CEO today on the attack on the Chief Minister. We condemn the way election commission remained alienated on state`s law and order situation.”

Mamata Banerjee was allegedly attacked by four to five men while she was trying to get into the car after offering prayer at a temple in Nandigram. She had serious injuries on her legs.
