Coronavirus lockdown: Traffic police seize goods vehicles carrying labourers in Andhra Pradesh

Vizianagaram: City police, on Thursday, apprehended 31 labourers who reached Vizianagaram from Hyderabad in a goods carrier. The cops seized 2 vehicles and sent the 31 labourers to a quarantine centre. However, the police were baffled as to how they managed to escape at check points between the two states.  It is reported that the labourers belonged to Bobbili, Gajapathinagaram and Parvathipuram towns and travelled for at least 2 days in the vehicles, hiding and managing to escape from police at checkpoints across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
