As the BJP central leadership brainstorms over who would occupy the Karnataka Chief Minister's post after BS Yediyurappa vacated it on Monday, reports are emerging about the Lingayat strongman suggesting a name of his choice to the high command.
According to media reports, hectic activity is underway at the residence of Yediyurappa loyalist Basavaraj Bommai.
Reports said that dozens of MLAs have landed up at Basavaraj's residence after reports emerged that Yediyurappa had given a soft signal to the BJP high command that the latter should replace him on the CM's chair.
Basavaraj, while speaking to media persons, downplayed the speculations. He, however, did say that Yediyurappa would have taken his name as he too belongs to the Shivamogga district. He also said that MLAs visiting his residence is not a new development.
