The latest version of the Gorilla Glass cover is designed in such a way that it would protect you mobile's screen from a hazardous end when it falls on the floor. The makers of Gorilla Glass 5 have claimed that the devices' screen will be safe even if it falls from a five-foot height.

Corning Inc, the maker of Gorilla glass, however, claims that the new technology is 80 percent successful. Hence, be careful while you take your phones out for a test.

Corning Inc, based on an 11-country survey, has said, 85 percent of the people drop their phone once a year, according to a report of Gizmag. Therefore, the company focused more on increasing the drop height to cover the maximum damage.

The Gorilla Glass 5 is expected to be rolled out later this year.
