After the COVID-19 situation, meetings are mostly happening via video calls, and Microsoft Outlook is rolling out a new option where employees can take breaks in between back to back meetings.
Microsoft said, "Much of this digital workload is due to back-to-back meetings with no breaks in-between." And, these breaks will let the employees "recharge, grab a glass of water, or simply transition more peacefully from one meeting to the next."
It will be applicable for both individuals and companies, and Microsoft will be arranging a 5 min break after 30 min long meeting and a 15 min break after an hour-long meeting. Once it's adjusted to Outlook, it will be scheduled for the rest of the meetings. They have already conducted a meeting with 14 employees enabling this new option.
The option is more convenient as after scheduling; it works automatically. It can be customised by individuals as well.
