Ignoring the heavy police protection, the Youth Congress members have managed to stage a protest in front of the Governor’s house. They have been shouting slogans against the decision of nominating three MLAs from the BJP. This protest has affected normal life in Puducherry.
The Congress party has called for a shutdown protest against the Puducherry state Lt.Governor Kiran Bedi. Due to this, a heavy police protection has been issued across the state.
Public transport was greatly affected as buses, operating between Puducherry and Chennai or Cuddalore were pelted with stones.
