When Virat Kohli was in tears before Anushka Sharma

Virat Kohli in a recent interview did talk about one ‘very special moment’ that he will always remember Virat said that Anushka was with him the moment they announced him as the ODI captain Virat was in tears while telling Anushka the good news

It is rare for Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma to share details of their personal lives. Although they have stuck together through thick and thin, they have rarely opened up about their relationship. But in a recent interview, Kohli did talk about one ‘very special moment’ that he will always remember.

The 28-year-old dashing batsman, who is currently India’s captain in the ICC Champions Trophy, spoke about sharing his happiness about becoming the captain with Anushka Sharma in a recent interview with Star Sports.

“I was in Mohali and there was a test series going on. I was with Anushka then, she had come to visit me. Surprisingly, when I was made Test Captain, then also she was in Melbourne with me. That was a very special moment we shared together,” said Virat Kohli.

“During the Mohali incident, they had spoken to me already. When I hung up the phone and told her, for me it was like a flashback. From the moment I started playing in my academy till the Mohali game. I was emotional, I was in tears because I had never thought that I will see this day. What was more beautiful was that, I was able to share it with Anushka. It was something that I will always remember,” Kohli added.

Kohli was made the ODI captain ahead of the series against England after MS Dhoni informed the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) about his decision to step down.

Anushka and Virat are always seen attending parties or doing things together. They attended Zaheer Khan and Sagarika Ghatge’s engagement celebrations together and were a part of Yuvraj Singh’s wedding with Hazel Keech too. They were last seen together at the special screening of 'Sachin: A Billion Dreams' together.

Even during the time when they had ‘broken up’ they always looked out for each other. Virat silenced the trolls who claimed that Anushka was distracting Virat from his game during the World Cup.

Although both have not confirmed the status of their relationship, there is no doubt that the two care a lot for each other.
