'We do better than Pakistan', Twitter takes a dig at South Africa's run outs

Synopsis

South Africa are called the perenial chokers Faf du Plessis and David Miller just had one of the most embarrassing run outs in cricketing history AB de Villiers was also run out. he has the second highest run outs in ICC ODI tournaments

There is something about South Africa and under pressure matches. Or for that matter any ICC trophy that they play. Like two perpendicular lines they just cannot reach a meeting point.

After a sluggish start by Quinton de Kock and Hashim Amla, Faf du Plessis and AB de Villiers brought the Proteas back in the game. Until this happened

And that is where South Africa went ‘all fall down’.

Although ABD’s run out was a crucial point in the game, the real thing came later on in the game when this happened.

Faf du Plessis drove the ball to third-man, both men started running, Faf suddenly realized he shouldn’t and head back, but his partner David Miller just couldn’t stay away from him and both players reached the same side. All Miller could do is look on as Kohli knocked the bails off on the other side.

And the twiterrati went berserk

A Pakistani fan also pointed out the similarity of the Proteas’ run out with one of their own.

Needless to say South Africa lost the all-important match.

And thus continues the legend of the perennial chokers
