In a moving gesture, the captain of the Indigo's 6E 2257 Delhi-Ahmedabad flight requested passengers on board to allow two Indian army personnel accompanying the mortal remains of Naik Sayali Imran Kalubhai to disembark from the aircraft first.

Naik Sayali Imran Kalubhai lost his life when during patrolling the border along Arunachal Pradesh, the vehicle he was travelling in fell into a ditch.

On its part, IndiGo replied to the tweet saying, "Our respect for the brave heart Naik Sayali Imran Kalubhai is immense and we salute him for the supreme sacrifice he made in line of duty for the Nation. Our heartfelt prayers are with his family and friends find the strength to bear this irreparable loss."
