A Malayalee nurse has been found dead at her apartment at Karama in Dubai.

The deceased has been identified as Santhi Thomas, 30, who hailed from Kottayam. Santhi’s husband Joby found her hanging from the fan in the bedroom when he got back from work on Saturday, according to Gulf News.

Santhi was working with a private hospital. She was the daughter of KV Thomas, the former vice president of the Payippad panchayat in Changanassery.

Santhi had been married to Joby for four years and joined him in Dubai around two years ago. The couple has a three-year-old daughter, who has been living with Joby's family in Kerala.

“The couple had some discord between them and the child is living with her father’s parents. They said she had earlier booked a ticket to go home and it was cancelled,” the report quoted a family source as saying.
