
Kerala police have arrested a 29-year-old extortionist who used to trap men through chatting and rob them after having sex. The arrested is identified as Alavuddin, a native of Mannarkkad in Palakkad.
Police took the man into custody following a complaint by a Thodupuzha native. The accused was in the habit of befriending men through chatting and lure them with sex. The accused would then take the men to hotels and rob their belongings, the police said.
Alavuddin befriended Thodupuzha native through chatting and offered him sex. The duo later took a room in a lodge in Thodupuzha. The accused robbed the laptop. ATM card, two mobile phones and ₹6000 from the man as he was sleeping.
Further, the accused started blackmailing him showing some images in victim's laptop. Alavuddin demanded ₹1 lakh, and it was then that the victim decided to file the police complaint.
The police trapped the victim using the same trick he used to lure men.
