Video: Malayalam actress approaches police alleging ill treatment by family

The veteran actress, who has featured in several Malayalam films and TV serials, appeared at the Shornur police station on Sunday, complaining that her son and his wife have been treating her harshly.

Meena said that she was not being given food and medicine on time. After speaking to the police officers and a few politicians who were in attendance, Meena left with daughter Sangeetha. 

Meanwhile, Meena's son Manoj has played down the accusations, claiming he has taken good care of his mother.

Manoj said the police station incident was the result of some family members, who have an eye on some of Meena's property, conspiring against him. 

It is understood that the Shornur police has not filed an official complaint, and is encouraging both parties to reach a compromise.
