Synopsis

SIT is planning to record the statement of singer Rimi Tomy in actress attack case Rimi had earlier said that she called Kavya and talked about the incident on the night of actress attack This is against the statement of Dileep that he came to know about it only on next day

Kerala police has submitted a request before the court seeking permission to record the statement of singer Rimi Tomy in actress attack case.

Earlier, the Special Investigation Team had questioned the singer over phone.

The SIT had mainly asked about the financial transactions between Rimi and Dileep.

Asianet News had reported that the singer gave some contradictory statements during the questioning and failed to give a convincing reply to the police. Rimi couldn't explain how she came to know about the abduction and attack on the actress.

There were reports that the singer was asked about the phone calls she had made on the night of actress attack.

Rimi came out strongly against the reports and denied any wrong doing on her part. She also explained that there were no financial deals with Kavya Madhavan or Dileep. However, the singer revealed that she called Kavya soon after she came to know about the incident.

What raises doubt is that how Dileep failed to know about the attack if Rimi had called and talked to Kavya about it on the same day it happened. Dileep had said that he came to know about the incident only on the next day and that too from television news.
