Thrissur: Thieves Target Textile Owner’s Home In Major Gold Heist!

A textile shop owner’s house in Tholur, Kechery, was targeted in a major burglary, with thieves allegedly making off with 50 pavans of gold jewellery. The incident came to light after the break-in, prompting police to launch an investigation and search for those behind the robbery.

A massive robbery has taken place at a textile owner's house in Tholur, near Kechery in Thrissur. Thieves stole 50 pavans of gold jewellery from the home of Shakkeer, who runs a textile shop in Parappur.

The thieves broke in through the back door of the house. They then forced open the almirahs in the bedroom and took all the gold. They seem to have used a crowbar to break the back door. This part of Shakkeer's house is right next to a railway track, so it's a secluded area with not many people around. Police believe the thieves used this route to get in.

The robbery happened when the family was away. Shakkeer's wife and children had gone to the textile shop around 5 PM yesterday to help out. They only came back home at 1:30 AM. When they entered the house, they found everything in a mess. The almirahs were broken and all their belongings were thrown around.

A check revealed that the jewellery was missing. The family says the stolen gold was bought for Shakkeer's daughter's wedding. Police suspect this was a well-planned robbery, as the thieves seemed to know the family's schedule and the layout of the house.

The Peramangalam police reached the spot immediately after being informed. A dog squad and fingerprint experts were also brought in to collect evidence. The Peramangalam police have filed a case and started their investigation.
