Woman stabbed at door step, by men hired by ex-lover

Man gives Rs 1.10 lakh supari to a friend to intimidate his ex-girlfriend; He in turn hires his friend to do it for Rs 50,000.  She had ended their 8-year-old affair and he wanted to get back at her. He made the friend text raunchy messages to her. Police arrested the man and his two friends. Another culprit is absconding.

A clothes merchant at Cottonpet gave Supari of Rs 1.10 lakhs to his friend to intimidate his ex-girlfriend. The man hired another friend to stab her. All three are in police custody. Another culprit is absconding.

Pramod (32), resident of Hanumanthanagar is a clothes merchant with a shop in Bommanahalli. He claims he was in a relationship with an employee of private airlines near Banasawadi.  But their love turned sour and the woman ended their relationship. However Pramod wanted to get back. He asked his friend Kumar to send raunchy messages to her.  He would type the text and forward to his friend, who in turn would send it to her from a different sim.  When she did not respond to that Pramod decided to physically harm her and with the help of his friends Kumar and Suresh. Kumar brought another man Rakesh to carry out the act.He took Rs 1.10 lakhs from Pramod and paid Rs50,000 to Rakesh. On June21, when the woman reached home after work at 9.30 pm, as she was parking her two wheeler in front of the house,  Rakesh, who was hiding, jumped out and stabbed her three times. She screamed and people were alerted. Seeing this, the culprits escaped. She was admitted to the hospital where she was treated for a few days and discharged.

The police investigated her phone texts and found that all the texts had addressed her as ‘Papu’ which is how Pramod used to address her.   Police caught hold of Pramod and during interrogation he admitted he was behind the texts and the attacks. He would write the messages and send it to his friend, who would forward it to her from an unknown sim number. With Pramod’s confession police arrested Kumar and Suresh. Rakesh is absconding.
