The Bellandur Lake is in the news again, this time too for the wrong reasons. The incessant rains of August 14 and 15 have brought the forth back, making the efforts of Bengaluru Development Authority to clean the lake, go in vain.
The forth was seen flying high, and the waves were so high that the motorists had to struggle to pass through the road adjacent to the lake.
The BDA, following the notice by Green Tribunal, had started cleaning the Bellandur Lake, filled with the froth. However, now, with rains the froth is back and left the people and authorities worried about the health consequences it can cause.
City NGOs and activism groups such as United Bengaluru have been leading the the fight to get the Bellandur Lake cleaned.
Here are the videos and pictures which show the current state of froth-filled Bellandur Lake.
