Huge mineral deposits found under sea in Mangaluru and Karwar

In a major discovery, the Indian Geological Survey scientists have spotted huge deposits of precious minerals under sea at Mangaluru, Karawara and Chennai off coasts. Crores of tonnes of minerals are sitting huddled under sea at all three directions of the southern India. Huge deposits of Phosphate is found at Mangaluru, Karawara and Chennai off coast, reports Kannada Prabha. At Tamil Nadu coastal region of Mannar valley, gas hydrates are found. At Andaman sea, Cobalt form of Ferro manganese and at Lakshadweep offshore Micro Manganese deposits are found. At the bottom of Indian Ocean, over 10, 000 million lakh worth lime ore is found, reports Kannada Prabha. The undersea survey was conducted using state-of-the-art research ships called Samudra Ratnakara, Samudra Kaustubha and Samudra Soudikama.
