
Yelahanka police arrested a man from Bihar for making a hoax bomb call to Namma 100. The accused identified as Sikander Sahni called up Namma 100 stating that a man was carrying a bomb in his bag and was on his way to Kempegowda International Airport, reports Kannada Prabha.
The control room immediately alerted the Yelahanka police. However, the police's search for the bomb yielded no results. Sensing it a hoax, the police tried to call back Sahini but he had switched off his mobile phone. However, next day, the police tracked his number from the tower and arrested him. It is reported that Sahni a resident of Venkatala near Yelahanka was in an inebriated condition when he called up the police control room.
