Synopsis

Starting July 1, all citizens between the age of 18 and 21, who are not included in the voters list can enroll themselves Can apply through online Election Commission website, mobile apps and post Extensive campaign at all constituencies on July 8,9 and July 22,23. Enrolling facility at college and educational institutions provided. Change of address, demise also can be notified.

The Election Commission of India, under the ‘everybody in the electoral roll’ special campaign, has facilitated enrolling from July 1 to 31, announced V Shankar, Bengaluru DC.

Speaking at a meeting of urban jurisdiction officials and representatives of various parties, on Wednesday, he gave a call to all adults between the age of 18 and 21 to enroll compulsorily.   Application Form 6 is available for young voters. Applications can also be submitted on line at the Election Commission website, mobile app and by post.  He appealed to all youth to apply and get enrolled.

Special campaign is being organised at all booths on July 8,9 and July 22, 23. Block Level officials will post electoral rolls at prominent places for the public to check and those whose names are missing can fill up Form 6 and apply.

Campaign will be also held at colleges, educational institutions.

Any changes in the electoral roll like change of address, or relocating and noting the deceased can also be done. Agents of various political parties will undertake this exercise. The officials are instructed to attend to all complaints with regard to electoral roll, said V Shankar, reports Kannada Prabha.
