File criminal case if accidents occur due to potholes says DIG Roopa

Synopsis

DIG, Road Safety and Traffic, R Roopa has instructed that for accidents that occur due to potholes public must file criminal cases. For accidents that occur due to poor quality roads, pot holes criminal cases under RMA Act section 198 A must be filed. For unscientific road humps accidents or death also criminal case under the same Act must be filed.

DIG, Road Safety and Traffic, R Roopa has instructed that for accidents that occur due to potholes public must file criminal cases against the agency responsible for construction of the road. For accidents that occur due to poor quality roads, pot holes criminal cases under RMA Act section 198 A must be filed.

For unscientific road humps accidents or death also criminal case under the same Act must be filed, she instructed, reported Kannada Prabha.

It can be remembered that early this week a couple died  due to the pothole w, while taking their granddaughter to the doctor in near Sirsi Circle.
