Indian Academy School bus along with the number of vehicles on the Bellandur Lake Road faced the wrath of the frothy lake.

The motorists fear travelling as the vehicles are getting engulfed in the wave of the Bellandur froth. It can be remembered that the government had started cleaning the Bellandur Lake of the toxic materials. But with the onset of rain, the work had to be stalled, and the froth has come back with a bigger force.

Froth has been developing in the Bellandur Lake for years now due to the waste being directly flown into the Lake by the industries. Though the residents and environmentalists staged protests and raised concern, it was only in 2017 that the court ordered the closure of the industries causing pollution.

Isn't it too late to look into the matter? Shouldn't it be the government's top priority to clean the toxic, frothy lake?

The government should take immediate steps to reduce the froth and then to clean the lake of toxic elements completely. The city faces water problems thus there is a need to save all the lakes, protect and maintain them.
