
In a bid to facilitate the travel of passengers heading back to their hometowns after the Dasara holidays, the South Western Railway (SWR) has introduced a special train service running between Hubli and Bengaluru on October 24 and 25. This move comes as a response to the anticipated surge in travellers from North Karnataka.
The SWR, in coordination with SSS Hubballi and Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal, Bengaluru, has announced the operation of a single trip of special trains between the two cities, aimed at accommodating the increased passenger traffic.

The special train with Train No. 07309 SSS Hubballi - Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru Special Express, will commence its journey from SSS Hubballi on October 24, departing at 5 PM and reaching Bengaluru the following morning at 5:45 AM.

This special service will cover several key stations along its route, including Gadag, Koppal, Munirabad, Hospet, Torangallu, Bellary Cantt., Rayadurga, Molakalmuru, Chitradurga, Chikkajajur, Birur, Araseikere, and Tumkur, making it convenient for passengers travelling between Hubli and Bengaluru.
In the return direction, Train No. 07310 Sir M. Viswesvaraya Terminal Bangalore-SSS Hubballi Special Express will depart from SMVT Bangalore at 7:00 AM on October 25, reaching its final destination, SSS Hubballi, at 8:00 PM. The train will follow a similar route, serving key stations such as Tumkur, Arasikere, Birur, Chikkajajur, Chitradurga, Rayadurga, Bellary Cantt., Torangallu, Hospet, Munirabad, Koppal, and Gadag.
