
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today (October 26) extended her Bijoya Dashami greetings to the people of Bengal and prayed for the welfare of all.
The Chief Minister posted the greetings on social media on Monday (October 26). In her congratulatory message, Mamata Banerjee wrote in Bengali, “Banglar Ma, Mati, Manush k janai Bjoya Dashamir antorik preeti o suvecha. Boroder janai pronam, chotoder bhalobasha.” (I wish everyone Subho Bijaya. My respect to elders and good wishes and lots of love to the young)
She also prayed for the health and happiness of the people. She wrote, "Keep good health and I pray for the welfare for all members of the family.”

Mamata Banerjee has not only greeted the people of West Bengal but also the people of the hills on the occasion of Dashain festival. This festival is celebrated on the same day as Bijaya Dashami. Mamata Banerjee wrote, "I extend my greetings to the people of hills on the occasion of Dashain festival.”
Apart from Mamata Banerjee, Trinamool Congress. Minister Firhad Hakim wrote on social media, “I extend my greetings to everyone on the occasion of Bijoya Dashami. I pray to goddess Durga that she takes away all the sorrows of people and kill the demons.”

Trinamool Secretary-General and State Education Minister Partha Chatterjee also greeted the people of Bengal on the occasion of Bijoya Dashami.
Bijoya Dashami marks the end of the five-day Durga Puja when the goddess leaves her parents' home after her annual visit and along with her four children returns to Kailash to her husband Shiva.
