According to Deputy Chief Ticket Inspector Anuj Kumar Singh, he was moving towards coach C-11 after checking passengers in another coach when he noticed Durvesh standing near the coach entrance.
When questioned, the man claimed he was a Senior Commercial-cum-Ticket Clerk posted at New Delhi Railway Station. However, officials found irregularities in the identity card he was carrying, raising immediate suspicion.
During further questioning, Durvesh allegedly admitted that the identity card was fake and confessed to travelling on the train from Aligarh to Delhi using the forged identity.

Railway checking staff said the accused had boarded the train at Aligarh station. Officials are now investigating whether he only travelled using the fake identity or also posed as a ticket examiner to deceive passengers and collect money.
The fake identity card has been seized as evidence, and the case has been handed over to the GRP for further investigation.
Videos related to the incident have gone viral on social media, with many users expressing concern over railway security. Several people said such incidents make it difficult for passengers to identify genuine railway staff. Others demanded stricter identity verification and stronger security checks to stop impersonators from targeting travellers.
