
24-year-old Karnataka woman has become the talk of the town after she cleared 400 kms race in 1.36 minutes to become a police officer. The woman at the time of the race was found to be 2 months and 15 days pregnant.
Two days ago, Gulbarga Police had arranged for a physical test for Sub-Inspector aspirants and a mandatory 400 kms race in two minutes was held. Ashwini Santosh Kore, a native of Bidar and an engineering graduate, took part and covered the track in less than two minutes.
The woman was advised by her doctor not to involve in any sports activity due to the possible abortion of the fetus, despite this, the woman took the risk and attained this feat at Reserve Police Battalion grounds.
The woman not only took part in a track event and proved her physical capabilities but also did well in the high jump and shot put tests.
Sheer commitment to become police, despite being pregnant and warning from her doctors, the woman has achieved this goal and is being appreciated by her family circles and village.
Recently, in Belagavi, the police department conducted a physical training test for men for constable jobs but two candidates were caught cheating. The two persons Bhalesh Sannappa and Umesh also called as Tukali, used thermocol based wigs to increase their height. But were caught during screening. Both have been arrested and a case was registered.
