'Should Be Hanged Live…' Muskan Rastogi’s parents demand death penalty after brutal murder of her husband

In Uttar Pradesh's Indiranagar, Muskan Rastogi and her partner allegedly murdered her husband, dismembered his body, and concealed the remains in a cement-filled drum. Devastated by the crime, Muskan’s parents have demanded the death penalty for their daughter and the co-accused, calling her a danger to society.  

Meerut: The parents of accused Muskan Rastogi, Pramod and Kavita, are devastated after their daughter, along with her partner, allegedly killed her husband, dismembered his body, and sealed the body parts in a drum filled with cement in Uttar Pradesh's Indiranagar. Expressing their grief and anger over the incident, they demanded the death penalty for their daughter and the other accused.

What did the parents of Muskan tell reporters?

Speaking to ANI, accused's father said, "My daughter (Muskan) killed her husband (Saurabh)... She is not fit for society and is dangerous to everyone. I would advise others not to take such steps... She should be hanged till death, and if possible, it should be live..."

Accused's mother, deeply distraught over the incident, said, "Saurabh was a good man... We demand justice, and we want her (Muskan) to be hanged till death."

The accused's mother said that their son-in-law was a good man and they demanded justice for him.

Police identifies Muskan Rastogi and Sahil Shukla as accused

According to Meerut City SP Ayush Vikram Singh, Muskan Rastogi and Sahil Shukla have been identified as the accused.

"A person named Saurabh Rajput, working in merchant Navy, came home on March 4 and had been missing since then," SP Ayush Vikram Singh told ANI.
He further said that based on suspicion, his wife Muskan Rastogi and her partner Sahil Shukla were called for questioning.

"During the questioning, Sahil Shukla confessed that on March 4, he and Muskan Rastogi stabbed Saurabh to death. They dismembered the body, put it in a drum and sealed it with cement. The police have recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem," he added.

The police said that the accused, Sahil Shukla and Muskan Rastogi have been arrested and an FIR has been registered against them.

Further investigation is underway.
