A mentally challenged woman was brutally thrashed by two men with a rubber pipe at Nagaur, Rajasthan. The incident occurred on Tuesday, June 13, 2017. A video showing the brutal attack has been doing rounds in social media.

The two persons, identified as Prakash Meghwal and Shravan Meghwal, have been arrested. The SHO of Balaji police station, Puranmal Meena, said they were also looking for the individual who uploaded the video.

 

The police stated that the attackers beat the woman on suspicion that she had entered their fields with some ill-intention. “We are trying to search the victim woman, and appropriate action will be taken following her statement”, police said.

The two men beat the victim near a road. They ordered her to say ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and ‘Jai Hanuman’ which she complied to so that the beating would stop. She cried for help from the onlookers. The accused had covered their faces to conceal their identity.
