The Bengaluru Central Crime Branch (CCB) on Tuesday, October 13 arrested a suspect in the Sandalwood drugs case from Chikkamagaluru. Accused has been identified as Ashwin Bhogi, a resident of Chikkamagaluru.

Bengaluru: The Bengaluru Central Crime Branch (CCB) on October 13 have arrested a suspect in the Sandalwood drugs case from Chikkamagaluru. The accused has been identified as Ashwin Bhogi, a resident of Chikkamagaluru.

Ashwin Bhogi was on the run after the CCB arrested suspended BK Ravi Shankar in the drug case and has been named accused number nine in the FIR registered at Cottonpet police station in Bengaluru.

Joint Police Commissioner (Crime) Sandeep Patil informed that the accused Ashwin Bhogi who was detained in Chikkamagalur is being brought to Bengaluru for further inquiry.

Police have produced him before the court and have taken him in seven-day police custody for further questioning.

The CCB police had earlier arrested the two Kannada actors Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjjanaa in connection with the same case.
