Party negligence drives CPM worker to end life in Thiruvananthapuram

A CPM  activist was found hanging in a building that was bought as the party office in Thiruvananthapuram. In her suicide note, she wrote that frequent neglect she faced from the party drove her to take the extreme step.   

Thiruvananthapuram: A CPM activist took her life alleging frequent neglect from the party. On September 11, the 41-year-old CPM activist was found hanging in a building that was bought as a party office in Thiruvananthapuram.

The deceased has been identified as Asha. She was also an ASHA worker at Chenkal panchayat.

According to police, Asha had left a suicide note alleging that the frequent neglect she faced from the party drove her to take the extreme step. 

She went missing from Thursday morning after she left home to attend a party committee meeting, according to reports. 

Meanwhile, tension prevailed at the spot after locals stopped the cops, alleging that there was a nexus between the party and the police to hush up the incident. 

Later, a police team led by Neyyattinkara DySP S Anilkumar reached the spot and initiated talks with them, according to reports.
