The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall in the next five days in Kerala. There are also chances of isolated rainfall in the state. Heavy rainfall means rainfall of 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm in 24 hours.

The founder and chairman of the Brahmins Foods Group V Vishnu Namboothiri passed away on Tuesday at 10 pm. He was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Thodupuzha. The funeral will be held at 3 pm on Wednesday.
11.36 AM: Woman wins lottery worth Rs 75 lakh purchased from father's shop
In a stroke of luck, Ashley who purchased a lottery ticket from her father N J Augustine's shop, won the first prize of Rs 75 lakh on the Sthree Sakthi lottery.
Ashley purchased the winning ticket—number SG 888030—from her father's lottery shop on the way to work. Her father earned a commission for selling the ticket in addition to Ashley receiving the prize money.
10.57 AM: Kerala family takes their daughter away forcibly from living with her lesbian partner
Afeefa, who was about to live with her lesbian partner Sumayya, was taken away forcibly by her family. An NGO named Vanaja Collective, which works for the rights of LGBTQIA+ had lodged a complaint with the Malappuram Women's Protection Officer that Afeefa was facing physical and mental problems from her own home. Afeefa claimed that she was being forced to undergo conversion therapy to cure her of homosexuality by her family.

Heavy rains lashed Kannur on Tuesday for more than three hours and flooded many parts of the district. Several houses near the airport were flooded when the water flowed out through the canal at the airport entered the houses.

A well-known name in literature and education, P. Chitran Namboodirippad, passed away in Thrissur. He shaped Kerala's state school arts festival (Kalolsavam) while serving as the state's director of public instruction.
