Former PM Manmohan Singh hospitalized in Delhi's AIIMS after feeling unwell.


New Delhi: Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has been hospitalized in Delhi after feeling unwell around 8 PM this evening (Dec 26). The 92-year-old was admitted to the emergency department of AIIMS Delhi.

As of now, no official medical report has been released regarding his condition. 

Manmohan Singh rose to prominence as the Finance Minister in the Narasimha Rao government from 1991 to 1996. He later served as the Prime Minister during the UPA government from 2004 to 2014. After his term in office ended, he continued as a member of the Rajya Sabha until his term concluded in April 2024, following which he retired.

Singh is widely recognized for implementing policies that played a key role in India’s sustained economic growth. He was also praised for his leadership in guiding the country through the 2008 global recession.
