Arjun Singh shared the screenshot of the Whatsapp chat where the members of the WhatsApp group were state police officers.
Arjun alleged that CID officials were trying to frame him for the murder of Manish Shukla by showing screenshots of the chat. In fact, the part of the chat that has been made public discusses the murder of Manish Shukla. The incident has caused a stir inside the state intelligence agency.
According to sources, all the officers of the 1998 batch of the state police are in the WhatsApp group. The officials could not gaze how the screenshots of the chat went public. A state police chief and a CID official sought clarification from the group members.

Preliminary investigations suggest that a member of the group leaked the screenshots of the chat. However, it was also being heard that the screenshot released by MP Arjun Singh was fake.
The BJP has raised questions regarding the incident. They asked, “If the screenshot is fake, why was the group disbanded so quickly after the incident? Why are IPS officers instructed to refrain from such discussions?”
However, police and CID officials have not yet opened their mouths regarding this incident.
