Almost after ten years, ten thousand people were seen taking part in the CPM rally in West Midnapore. CPM state secretary Suryakanta Mishra is confident after seeing so many people joining the rally.
At the end of the procession, Suryakanta Mishra said, “BJP is a harmful political party. If a government is formed in Delhi, the danger will increase. But there is also a need to remove the Trinamool from the state.”
Suryakanta Mishra claimed that the CPM has gained the trust and confidence of the people every time. He added, "In 2016, we tried to gain people's trust. But there was ambiguity and the time was very less. This is not the time of vote. However, we believe that we can gain people’s trust again.”
Suryakanta Mishra critized Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over the law and order situation in the state. He said, “Everyone is speaking up about the Hathras rape case. All of us wants the accused to get severe punishment. But nobody is taking a look into the rape cases happening in the state. A ninth-grade student has been raped and murdered here. The Chief Minister did not say anything about this incident.”
Besides, Suryakanta mocked Mamata for making Chhatradhar Mahato the general secretary of the Trinamool. He said, “The leader of the Maoists is now the general secretary of the Trinamool. There are Maoists in the Trinamool party.”
