Anand Mahindra shares video of wheelchair that gives differently abled people independence

Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra shared a video of a multi-purpose, flexible wheelchair made in China, that went viral on social media.

Anand Mahindra captioned the video: "This is apparently from China. With almost 3 billion people between us, it would make sense if all the innovations that help the afflicted come out of our two countries. Technology can create wonderful gadgets, but the ones that make life easier for the sick & aged are priceless." 

This video shows a wheelchair that can be of massive help for the differently abled as well as his/her helper.

The wheelchair opens easily, and it can be attached to the bed, so a person need not be carried to the wheelchair. Once adjusted, one can set the chair in motion with the press of a button. The direction can be controlled too.

Another major advantage is that a differently abled person need not be carried to sit on the commode. Instead the wheelchair fits exactly on the commode and all that needs to be done is to press a button where the seat disappears and the person can finish his daily ablutions, without the fear of losing balance and falling.

The chair also makes it easy for the person to travel from one room to the other and sit on the sofa, chair or any other elevated place without needing someone to help carry the person.
