IUML worker hacked to death in Kerala, party blames CPI(M)

The Kerala Police have registered a case under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Security has been tightened in Tanur, Malappuram since the incident.
 


Malappuram: Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) activist was hacked to death in Malappuram's Tanur on Thursday (October 24). The deceased is identified as Isahak (36), a native of Anchudi, Malappuram.
 
Locals rushed to the spot upon hearing screams and found Isahak hacked to death. He was immediately taken to Tirur taluk hospital, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.  The body is believed to be at Tirur district hospital.
 
The police have registered a case under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). After the incident, security has been tightened in the region.
 
Meanwhile, the IUML blamed CPI (M) for the murder and the latter has denied the allegations. Isahak is survived by his wife, children, brother and parents. The IUML, which is the ally of the Congress in the UDF, has called for a shutdown on Friday following the incident.
