Tikkas to Idli-Sambar: Kamala Harris reveals her favourite Indian dishes

Kamala Harris, the first elected woman Vice President, revealed her favourite Indian dish, read on.
 

Kamala has her roots in India, but she has been staying abroad for quite a long time now. Her relatives all live in India, and they are very proud of their girl.They will be flying to the US to attend her oath-taking ceremony in January.
In a recent social media engagement video, she was asked her favourite Indian food, to which she replied, "So South Indian, it would be idli with... a really good sambar, and then North Indian – probably any kind of tikka".

In that same video walked down her childhood memory lane and spoke how she used to roam around in the alleys of Madras (Chennai) with her grandfather. Her grandfather would tell stories about the heroes who helped in building the world's largest democracy.
She was also asked by one of the users how she took care of her mental peace during the campaign trail. To which she said her workout routines, cooking and talking to her kids helped her alot.
She is the first Indian-origin Black woman to be elected by a major American political party for such a post.
