The tail lamp cluster attached to the rear bumper and the dual tone exterior also enhance the classic look of the Jimny. The interior is also simple. At the heart of the Global Spec Jimny is a 1.5-liter petrol engine that produces 102pp of power and 130Nm of torque. The power produced and the fuel efficiency obtained are excellent. The suspension was shifted from the third generation model to the coil spring unit. In addition, vacuum locking hubs have been replaced by electronic 4 wheel drive systems. While retaining the retro look of the original SUV, the design of the Suzuki Gymnasium is more modern than ever.

In 2019, the company introduced a monster truck and pickup concept based on the Jimny. The car comes with 42-inch super-sized tires, deadlock wheels, sturdy metal suspension and a flashy color scheme.

India began its relationship with the Suzuki Jimny in the 1980s. The Gypsy was introduced in India in 1985 as a modified version of the second generation Jimny in the Japanese market. But during the thirty years of Indian life, the Gypsies underwent many reforms. The Gypsy recently pulled out of India after Maruti Suzuki decided not to revise the new safety standards and BS6 emission standards.

But the India Speak Jimny will be different from what it sells in other markets. Earlier, pictures of Jimny conducting test runs in India were released. The test run will be a three-door version of the Jimny, but it is reported that it will be a five door version in India. The five-door version codenamed YWD will be available not only in the Indian market but also in other international markets.
