Northern states continue to remain under dense fog and severe cold wave conditions, prompting warnings from the Meteorological Department. Central India, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar are also facing reduced visibility due to persistent fog. Meanwhile, a developing low-pressure system in southern regions is influencing Maharashtra’s weather, leading to unstable temperature trends across the state.

Cold Wave in North Maharashtra, Humidity Along the Coast

Over the last 24 hours, Dhule recorded the lowest temperature in Maharashtra at 7 degrees Celsius, while Nagpur, Gondia, and Yavatmal reported minimum temperatures near 11 degrees. Cold wave conditions are expected to persist in North Maharashtra and Vidarbha. In contrast, coastal regions including Konkan, Thane, Raigad, and Palghar are witnessing rising humidity, reducing the intensity of daytime cold but maintaining chilly mornings. Parts of Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada may experience partly cloudy skies and light rainfall.
