Mamata's brother Kartik Banerjee in talks with BJP?

After joining the BJP, Suvendu Adhikari claimed that in a few days, the lotus will bloom in the family of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Recently, Mamata Banerjee’s brother Kartik Banerjee has been in touch with the BJP.

When asked about joining the BJP, Kartik Banerjee said, “Everything is still under discussion. I made no decision. The matter has not reached that stage yet.”

Sayantan Basu, general secretary of the state BJP, said, '' No one from the BJP has contacted Kartik Banerjee. No one else was given the responsibility to communicate.”

Incidentally, Kartik Banerjee has not been seen in the forefront of politics in the 10 years of Mamata Banerjee’s chief ministership. His activities were mainly confined to clubs and social organizations.

Mamata Banerjee gave Kartik the responsibility of a cultural organization called 'Joy Hind'. However, he was not seen to play a significant role there.

According to sources, the relationship between Kartik Banerjee and his nephew Abhishek Banerjee is not very positive. Although nothing was known about it publicly. On the other hand, it was not heard that Kartik Banerjee has a bad relation with Mamata Banerjee.
