Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic sea-facing residence Mannat is currently undergoing extensive renovation work, with new floors reportedly being added to the property.
Real estate developer and producer Anand Pandit recently revealed details about the project while speaking on Ravi Kewalramani’s podcast. According to The Indian Express, Pandit said his company, Shri Lotus Developers and Realty, is working on two properties associated with the Bollywood superstar.
Speaking specifically about Mannat, Pandit revealed that the renovation involves adding a few floors to the rear portion of the property.
The redevelopment is significant considering Mannat’s already expansive size and its status as one of Mumbai’s most recognisable celebrity homes. The property is estimated to be worth around Rs 300 crore.
Pandit also spoke about his company’s celebrity clientele, claiming that a large portion of Bollywood is associated with Lotus Developers.
While discussing his real estate projects, Anand Pandit also shared an interesting story about another property connected to Shah Rukh Khan.
Pandit recalled working on a proposed redevelopment project involving Shree Amrit Society on Carter Road. At the time, he was interested in the project but was unaware of Shah Rukh Khan’s personal connection to the building.
The actor later told Pandit that the apartment he purchased in the society was his first home after moving to Mumbai from Delhi.
Shah Rukh was reportedly enthusiastic about the redevelopment plans and even wanted to speak to the society’s chairperson to recommend Lotus Developers for the project.
For Pandit, the actor’s personal connection made the project even more special. He also praised the property’s location and size.
The revelation offers a glimpse into Shah Rukh Khan’s early years in Mumbai, long before Mannat became synonymous with his superstar image.
As renovation work at Mannat got underway, Shah Rukh Khan and his family temporarily moved out of the iconic residence in April 2025.
The family reportedly shifted to Puja Casa, a luxury apartment building in Pali Hill, Bandra, while the extensive work was carried out at Mannat.
The temporary move also highlighted just how closely Mannat is associated with Shah Rukh Khan’s public image. For years, the house has been a major landmark for his fans.
On Eid and Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday, thousands of fans routinely gather near Bandstand to catch a glimpse of the actor and celebrate their favourite star outside Mannat.
From being Shah Rukh Khan’s family home to becoming one of Mumbai’s most photographed celebrity addresses, Mannat has evolved into a symbol of the actor’s extraordinary rise to fame.
Now, with additional floors being added to its rear portion, the iconic residence is set to become even more expansive.
Why Shah Rukh Khan’s Mannat Renovation Is Getting Attention
Mannat is not just another celebrity property. The Bandstand residence is considered a pilgrimage for most fans of Shah Rukh Khan. The place has a visitor of atleast 200-300 people at any odd given day. The house has been closely associated with Shah Rukh Khan for decades and has become an important part of his public identity.
The latest renovation details are particularly noteworthy because they offer a rare glimpse into changes being made to one of Bollywood’s most recognisable homes.
With the family temporarily relocated and construction reportedly expanding the rear portion of the property, fans are now waiting to see what the revamped Mannat will eventually look like.
