India has pushed England onto the back foot in the continuing four-Test series for the Anthony de Mello Trophy. Leading the series 2-1, the host is firmly in the driver's seat on the final Test in Ahmedabad and looks set for a win to seal its place in the ICC World Test Championship final.

It piled extensive pressure on England on Day 2 of the fourth and final Test for the Anthony de Mello Trophy at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Friday. From Rishabh Pant's maiden Test century to Virat Kohli's duck woes, there were quite a few records scripted, as we take a look at it all.

Kohli scripts unwantedsKohli was dismissed for an unfortunate duck off pacer Ben Stokes. With this, he has equalled MS Dhoni. He now has eight ducks in the format as the skipper is at serious risk of surpassing him. Also, it was the second time in his Test career that he has been dismissed for the same twice in a series. The first happened to be also against England during the 2014 away tour. Washington Sundar: A reliable batsman for the seventh-wicket standSundar remains unbeaten at 60. Furthermore, he was involved in a 113-run partnership for the seventh wicket with Pant, which happens to be his best stand for the same in India. It is his second-best for the same overall, with the best being 123 with Shardul Thakur in Brisbane earlier this year.

Pant scripts aplenty with centuryWhile Pant played a worthy knock of 101, in an exciting observation, ever since his Test debut in 2018, he has scored the most Test centuries by a wicketkeeper-batsman in the format. Besides being his maiden Test ton at home, it was his third overall, while next to him is Quinton de Kock, BJ Watling and a couple of Asian keepers with two. He has now scored the joint-second most centuries by Indian keeper, along with Wriddhiman Saha, while Dhoni is ahead with six tons. Pant is now the second-highest run-scorer in the format for the year, having scored 515, while Joe Root is ahead with 764. He is also the joint-second Indian to score a Test century off a six, along with Gautam Gambhir and Rohit Sharma, on a couple of occasions, while the record for the same is with Sachin Tendulkar (6). Interestingly, he has also become the first player to play a reverse sweep of seamer James Anderson since 2014.
