India and England are not going down without a fight in the fourth and final Test at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. While India seems to be grinding it with the bat, Indian skipper Virat Kohli's struggle appears to be even greater.

On Day 2, Kohli was dismissed for an unfortunate duck after Ben Foakes caught him behind off pacer Ben Stokes as he tried to fiddle with a short-pitched delivery. Consequently, he scripted some unwanted records.

It was the second time in his Test career that he has been dismissed for the same twice in a series. The first happened to be also against England during 2014 away tour, with Liam Plunkett and James Anderson having his number. As for this series, Moeen Ali had done so in the second Test in Chennai.

Notably, Kohli and Stokes were involved in a heated dispute during the English innings on Day 1, after the latter supposedly abused Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj. Although Stokes brushed it aside, claiming that it wasn't serious as it seemed, he must have a bitter-sweet feeling to get rid of Kohli, especially on a duck.

Furthermore, Kohli has been without a century in his past 13 Test innings (seven matches), with his last coming in November 2019, against Bangladesh in Kolkata, during India's maiden day-night Test.

Moreover, Kohli continues to remain century less in 32 international games across formats, which happens to be one of the longest by the Indian captains to date. Incidentally, the DN Test century against Bangladesh happens to be his last international ton.
